The two companies Pfizer and BioNTech announced that they submitted their final application to the European health authorities for approval of their covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday November 24th. The European Union’s medicine agency plans to meet in an extraordinary session to decide if the data that had been submitted is ” Sufficiently robust” to show the efficacy of the vaccine. Initial approval for the vaccine could come as early as December 29th, 2020.
