College Football Playoff Preview

Every New Year’s Eve or Day on every third year for the last three years, four college football teams battle for the championship. The games are normally very exciting, and this playoff is no different. Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama are the four teams fighting for the national championship 

The two games this year are destined to be classics. 

The game that starts this playoff is the Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena CA at 5:15 PM EST as the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Oklahoma Sooners. Georgia had a great season lead by star RB Nick Chubb. The Bulldogs are coming off a big statement win in the SEC Championship game, beating the Auburn Tigers 28-7 after losing to them 40-17 earlier in the season. Other signature wins by the Bulldogs are @Notre Dame and Vs. Mississippi St. 

Oklahoma, on the other hand is led by Heisman frontrunner QB Baker Mayfield. Oklahoma beat TCU for the second time this season in the Big 12 championship game. Oklahoma has one bad loss this season against Iowa St., but has signature wins against TCU twice, Oklahoma St., and then-ranked #2 Ohio State Buckeyes. 

The second game of the playoff is the Sugar Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA at 8:45 PM EST between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide. Clemson is coming in led by QB Kelly Bryant. Clemson comes in cruising after a 38-3 beating of #7 Miami. Clemson has a bad loss @Syracuse, but has signature wins against Auburn, @Louisville, @VA Tech, and @South Carolina. 

The last spot in the playoff had to be decided by the committee between Ohio State and Alabama, and the committee chose Alabama. The Crimson Tide are led by legendary coach Nick Saban and QB Jalen Hurts. The Tide lost against in state rival Auburn, but had big wins against other rival LSU and Mississippi St.
