As the first four weeks of the NFL have now concluded, the Detroit Lions go positive with a 3-1 record. After beating the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Green Bay Packers it’s clear to everyone now that this is a new Detroit Lions team walking onto the field this season. With our only loss being against the Seattle Seahawks. With week five now starting the Detroit Lions will be playing the Carolina Panthers.

Now the Carolina Panthers are one of those teams we can never really beat just like the Seattle Seahawks. The Detroit Lions have played the Panthers a total of 11 times in the past. Last year the Lions lost to the Panthers 37-23, the Lions have a record of 2-2 at home vs the Panthers while their away record is 1-6. This Sunday October 8th, the Lions will play the Panthers at home. The Lions have a really good chance especially since the Panthers record is 0-4 but the record doesn’t always matter. Lions also have Jameson Williams coming back from his suspension before the season started for gambling, which having him back could be huge for the Lions.

Week 6 the Lions play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa Bay at 4:25 pm on Sunday, October 15th. The Lions have an all-time record of 31-28 while playing the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are also 3-1 in the season, but they haven’t played a team like the lions, except for the Eagles which the Bucs lost, but I think we win against Tampa and have a 5-1 record.

Now week 7 we play the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore on October 22 at 1 pm. The Lions have played the Ravens 6 times, and the record is currently 5-1 with the Ravens on top. I feel like the Lions have a really good chance against the Ravens. Last time we played the Ravens was September 26th, 2021. Lions lost to a long field goal kicked by Justin Tucker to make the final score 19-17. I think we can beat the Ravens and put us at 6-1.

After we play the Ravens, we come back home for Monday night football to end week 8 of the NFL against the Las Vegas Raiders on October 30th at 8:15 pm. The Lions all-time record with the Raiders is 7-6 with the Raiders on top by one. The Las Vegas Raiders are 1-3 on the season so far but they have played some good teams with their only win coming from beating the Denver Broncos by one point. I feel like the lions have a great chance to beat the Raiders giving the lions a 7-1 record.

Week 9 the Lions have their bye week, coming back for week 10 the Lions play the Los Angeles Chargers on November 12th at 4:05 pm in Los Angeles. The Lions have played the Chargers 12 times and the record between the two is 7-5 with the Chargers being on top. The Los Angeles Chargers are 2-2 on the season so far and they had some hard games, but they are not looking like the same chargers that made it to the playoffs last year, so I say the Lions come back from their bye week and beat the Chargers to give the Lions an 8-1 record.

After week 10 the Lions play the Chicago Bears week 11 on November 19th at 1 pm in Detroit. The Lions all-time record against the Bears is 104-77 with the Bears on top. The Chicago Bears are currently 1-4 on the season, they have played some good teams and some bad teams but the Bears are not looking to good to start the season so I say Lions 9-1 after week 11.

For week 12 the Lions play the Green Bay Packers on November 23rd at 12:30 in Detroit. For our Thanksgiving day game it’s a division rivalry. The Lions record with the Packers is 105-76-7 with the Packers on top. The Packers lost Aaron Rodgers in the off season along with Allen Lazard to the New York Jets. The Packers are currently 2-2 on the season which puts the Lions at first place in their division. The Packers have played some good teams like others but I just don’t see the Packers beating the Lions so I say the Lions have a 10-1 record after week 12.

Week 13 we play the New Orleans Saints on December 3rd at 1 pm in New Orleans. The Lions record against the Saints is 14-12-1 with the Saints on top. The Saints are 2-2 on the season and they haven’t played very good teams as of week 5. The Saints just are not looking like a team with chemistry right now so they need like another year or two, so in that case I’m taking the Lions to have a 11-1 record after week 13.

Week 14 the Lions play the bears again and just like last time I feel like the Lions will beat the bears both times this season to make it short and sweet.

For week 15 the Lions play the Denver Broncos on December 17th, time is to be determined and it will be played at ford field. The Lions record against the Broncos is 9-5 with Denver being on top. The Denver Broncos haven’t been looking really good recently and they didn’t last year either. I think that the Lions will be able to beat the Denver broncos who are currently 1-3 on the season and it only gets harder for them. I’m taking the lions to be 13-1 after week 15.

Going into week 16 we play our first game against the Minnesota Vikings on December 24th at 1 pm and will be played in Minnesota. The Lions record with the Vikings is currently 80-41-2 with the Vikings on top. The Vikings are currently 1-3 on the season and I believe that the Lions will beat the Vikings. They looked really good last season but coming into this season they aren’t looking to good, so I think the Lions will win and make them 14-1.

Now probably one of the Lions hardest weeks is week 17 when they play the Dallas Cowboys on December 30th at 8:15 pm in Dallas. The current record with Dallas is 18-12 with Dallas on top. The cowboys are currently 3-1 on the season and I think the Lions lose this one just because this is the first year in a while the Lions have looked good, and the Cowboys just allows look good. I think the Lions go 14-2 after week 17.

For the final week, week 18 the Lions will play the Vikings again on January 7th, time is to be determined and it will be played at Ford Field. I think that the Vikings will win this one only because the Lions are 14-2 so they will more than likely pull their starters to stop them from being injured. To finish the season I think the Lions will go 14-3.
