Dakota Softball: 6 days straight!

This week on Dakota’s Varsity Softball, the girls have been tearing it up on the field! With games to play on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday, many games for the girls have been happening, and they never fail to succeed. On Tuesday, the girls defeated LCN 16-6 after a tough first inning where LCN scored 5 runs, but that didn’t stop the Cougars, they came back in the second inning! With Grace Roeske hitting a line shot right over the right-centerfield fence! Then on Wednesday, at home, the girls won against Ike, with one and two hitters Angela Petrovitch and Brooklyn Plitz each getting 5 at bats. Angela hit her first Varsity home run and we were so happy to see it! Brooklyn Plitz went 3 for 3 with 2 walks, hitting in the last run of the game to mercy Ike 10-0. On Wednesday, the girls took on Henry Ford, beating then 11-0 with a big home run by Briana Bumbalough in the third inning. Megan Nuechterlein has been doing amazing things on the mound all week, pitching great games and the cougars defense has been an amazing back up.  The cougars had another amazing win on Friday at home against Chippewa Valley high school, after a rain delay that set back game time, The game was super close the whole time and in the bottom of the seventh a huge home run was hit is a walk off to win the game 2 to 1. with an amazing week full of games, the girls had definitely gotten tired, with doing well over the weekend playing three games on Saturday and two on Sunday despite the cold weather, the cougars took a few tough losses, but are ready for their game against Anchor Bay tomorrow hoping to prove themselves. Including a special tribute to all the loving moms out there on Sunday including giving yellow roses to all the moms!<3
