Kobe Bryant’s death did not only impact the NBA, but it affected people around the world. There has been respect shown to Kobe since he passed around the world. Every single NBA game showed tribute to Kobe Bryant by taking a 24 second violation. The opposing team then took an 8 second violation to show tribute to Kobe Bryant, who previously wore numbers 8 and 24 for the Los Angeles Lakers. This death impacted many professional athletes around the world. LeBron James, a great friend of Kobe, is a team captain for the NBA All star game, and his team is wearing #2 to show tribute to Kobe and his daughter, Gigi. Venessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife had this to say on Instagram following the death of her daughter and husband. “My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now, I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”  Therefore, Kobe Bryant left a huge impact on the world with his sudden death.
