NBA Finals: GSW v Raptors
The Golden State Warriors face off against the Toronto Raptors in this year’s NBA Finals matchup. This is also the first time in 8 seasons that Lebron James will not make an appearance on the court. Canadian basketball fans everywhere lost their minds when they found out their NBA franchise was going to its first championship in its short lived existence, while Golden State remains poised on becoming the second team in NBA history to win 3 titles back to back to back. Match ups on the court to look for are Kyle Lowry v Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard v Klay Thompson. Kevin Durant’s absence makes this years Finals a toss-up for the first time in what seems like forever and has the make-up to be a historic series. Early game efforts by the Raptors have found them in the lead of this series by one game at a stance of 3-2. The last time these teams matched up resulted in Kevin Durant making a heroic effort for his team by returning despite a serious achilles injury. Although KD did go down again and had to leave game 5 early, the Dub’s pulled away with a win to leave the series at 3-2. The next game in this monster match-up takes place tonight, June 13th at 9:00pm on ABC so be sure to check it out!
