The Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway.  In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Bruins versed the Columbus Blue Jackets to see who would make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.  The Bruins ended up beating the Blue Jackets 4 games to 2.  The Carolina Hurricanes also secured their spot in the Eastern Conference finals by sweeping the New York Islanders in the second round.

Things were much more intense in the Western Conference.  The San Jose Sharks played against the Colorado Avalanche.  The Sharks and Avalanche had an intense seven games with the Sharks defeating the Avalanche 4 games to 3.  Also battling it to the Western Conference finals were the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues. The Blues came out on top defeating the Stars 4 games to 3.  The Western Conference finals will be intense with the Sharks versing the Blues.
