December 4th ,2018, is one of the most historic days for an Ohio State Buckeye fan. On this date Ohio state head coach, Urban Meyer, announced his retirement and is giving the head coaching job to Ryan day. After 17 years of coaching, he became one of the most winning coaches ever. Through his whole coaching career, he won 183 games, and lost 32 games, .853-win percentage. That makes him the 3rd most on the all-time list among those to have coached at least 10 seasons. Urban Meyer will go down as a legend in Ohio.  his bowl game record was 11-3 with a .786-win percentage. Urban feels comfortable with coach Day at the head coach position giving compliments like, “he is a good coach”, then “found out he is far past, that he is elite”. Coach Urban stepped down from the head coaching position because of health issues believed to be involved with stress. Experts have been talking about him getting inducted in the hall of fame in a couple years. Coach Meyer had a huge impact on the fan base by having an undefeated record versus rival Michigan wolverines (7-0). Urban will go down as one of the best Ohio state coaches to ever live.
