2018 MLB Winter Meeting Day 4 Recap

Day four of the 2018 MLB winter meetings looked a lot like the first. There was more money being given out by the casino to their guests then there were teams giving their money out to the players on the free agent market.

Deals: On day four the Texas Rangers made their voice heard in 2018 winter meetings by signing free agent starting pitcher Lance Lynn to a 3-year-deal worth $30 million dollars.

The Tampa Bay Rays made a splash in the free agent market on Wednesday by inking free agent pitcher Charlie Morton to a 3-year-deal that is worth $30 million dollars.

The Los Angeles Angels made a move on Wednesday by signing free agent first baseman Justin Bour to a 1-year-deal worth $2.5 million dollars. Last year Bour split time with the Marlins and the Phillies. Last year Bour hit .227 with 20 home runs and 59 RBIs between the two clubs.

News: On Wednesday it looked like the Oakland Athletics got some convincing news from their top prospect and this year‘s Heisman Trophy winner Kyle Murray. As Murray told reporters in an undisclosed location, he said “As of right now, I’m going to play baseball. That’s about it.”

Rumors:
• J.A. Happ & Yankees are nearing deal.
