Michigan Wolverines Aganist Michigan State Spartans
The Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans one of the biggest rivalries in college football. The wolverines were coming into this game 5-1 and the Spartans were 4-2, Michigan came off a devastating loss last year to the Spartans looking to seek revenge on their rivals. During the pre-game warmup star linebacker Devin Bush for the Wolverines gets into a fight with some of the Spartans player causing a lot of commotion and Devin Bush ruined the middle of Spartans field as well moments after.
The Wolverines defense came out hot stopping the Spartans to punt it. The Michigan offense took advantage and managed a good scoring drive with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Nico Collins to give the Wolverines a 7-0 lead early. There was no more scoring in the first half as we head to the Second half, and the Spartans take advantage on Michigan’s fumble scoring a 4-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Stewart Jr making the score tied at 7-7 in the third quarter. Two minutes left in the third former Cass Tech wide receiver Donavon Peoples –Jones scores a 79-yard touchdown pass for the Wolverines making the score 14-7. The Wolverines defense has been a big factor in this one stopping the Spartans once again giving the Wolverines the ball back, and they set up another scoring drive to running back Karan Higdon for the 14-yard run to make the lead 21-7 with 11 seconds in the third quarter.
The Michigan State offense would continue to have a bad day for them and the Wolverines defense keeps making plays to hold them. The Wolverines will end up winning this game 21-7 to make their record 6-1 and the Spartans 4-3. The Wolverines are taking the Paul Bunyan trophy back to Ann Arbor to celebrate.
