Athlete Spotlight: Nolan Benoit
(Coach Benoit and Nolan Benoit)
This year has been an exciting year for the Dakota Lacrosse Varsity team. Nolan Benoit #22 a sophomore has been playing lacrosse for seven years. Nolan is very experienced. His first season at Dakota has been a great one so far. He moved from North Carolina to come back to Michigan after a couple of years. Nolan wants to play lacrosse when he goes to college. He has made a major impact on both the JV and Varsity teams. Freshman, Anthony Tocco, had some input on how Nolan has helped the team: “He brings good positivity on and off the field. He’s really good at shooting and getting the ball in the back of the net.” Nolan’s lacrosse IQ, skill, and leadership on the field has led him to be a major help to the team. “Nolan has been a great teammate but an even better friend. He has helped myself and many other kids get better at lacrosse.” He is averaging at least one goal per game, which is helping Dakota to have a positive record of 7-2. The Varsity Lacrosse team looks to put up another win and advance their record to 8-2 when they go up against Port Huron United at home @7:00 on 4/26/18.
