On April 19th, Dakota Softball kicked off their season!

DHS Varsity’s first game was at St. Clair, and the team came back with their first win of the season in the books with a score of 8-7. Following their win last week, the girls headed into their second game determined to win. On the 23rd, the team played Chippewa Valley and again emerged with a winning score of 8-7.

When asked what she expects from this season, senior Jackie Popko said that the team “expects to defend their state championship title and get another ring.” She also said that she is most excited for “playoffs because it gets really intense!”
