Cheerleading World Championships: L6 Senior Large All Girl Division Recap
It is finally the time of year for cheerleading teams all over the country to compete at the biggest cheer competition of all. I’ll be focusing on the most popular division, senior large all girl. This division consists of the teams, Stingray Allstars Orange, Cheer Extreme Senior Elite, World Cup Shooting Stars, and Cheer Athletic Panthers. This division consists of very hard hitting and competitive teams.
Before we get to talking about worlds, let’s talk about what these teams have done over the season. The teams have faced each other many times this season at comps consisting of Majors, Cheersport, NCA, and lastly worlds. We were blown away by the show offs of these teams this year and knew it was going to be a strong but tough season.
Disclaimer: These competitions are all the ones these teams competed against each other, these teams went to individual comps as well where they did not compete against each other.
Starting off with the Majors competition. This was the first big competition of the 2023 season. Being the beginning of the season we saw a lot of mistakes from each team. In fourth place with a score of 91.75 was Stingray Allstars Orange. In third place with a score of 93.6667 was World Cup Shooting Stars. In second place with a score of 94.4667 was Cheer Athletics Panthers. In first Place, the winners with a score of 96.5833 was Cheer Extreme Senior Elite.
Moving on to Cheersport, the next competition we see these teams meet up and see the growth of their routines already. In This competition we see Senior Elite and Orange go head to head. In second place was Senior Elite with a score of 94.7875. In first place was Orange with a score of 96.5958.
Besides Worlds, NCA is probably one of the most important competitions of the season. And you can see how bad every team wanted it. In fourth place with a score of 95.865 was Orange. In third place with a score of 96.7917 was Shooting Stars. In second place with a score of 97.5250 was Panthers. In first place also awarded as grand champions, which means they had the highest score of the entire competition, was Senior Elite with a score of 98.5000.
Lastly, these four teams would meet up on the biggest competition of all, worlds. Day 1 of worlds, no one knew what the outcome could possibly be. All the teams were for the most part even in their performances. But when it came to day 2, it was obvious who was going to win and who wasn’t. In fourth place with a score of 137.6 was World Cup Shooting Stars. In third place with a score of 141.05 was Stingray Allstars Orange. In second place with a score of 143.25 was Cheer Athletics Panthers. In first place, for the first time in 10 years, with a score of 144.6 was Cheer Extreme Senior Elite. All of these teams worked so hard and should be proud of where they were because each and every team does the unthinkable every season. With that, the 2023 season is over and Senior Elite is the reigning world champions.
