NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament

The NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament allows 64 teams to compete in an elimination series. As of today, there are sixteen teams left in the tournament also known as the “Sweet 16” bracket. The Sweet 16 rounds will be played March 24th-25th at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greensville, South Carolina. Two number one seeds, Stanford and Indiana, failed to qualify for the Sweet 16 leaving many fans surprised and disappointed. South Carolina continues their 40-game winning streak which was expected as two underdog teams, (No. 8 seed) Ole Miss and (No. 9 seed) Miami, are climbing up the ladder to the final rounds. On March 24th, Miami and Villanova play at 2:30 PM, LSU and Utah at 5:00 PM, Colorado and Iowa at 7:30 PM, and Ole Miss and Louisville at 10:00 PM. The following day, Notre Dame, and Maryland play at 11:30 AM, UCLA and South Carolina at 2:00 PM, Ohio State and University of Connecticut at 4:00 PM, and Tennessee against Virginia Tech at 6:30 PM. These games will determine who will make it to the Elite Eight games that will be played on March 27th.
