Lately the news going around in Dakota lacrosse is the men’s team may become a co-Ed team. This has excited many people because it is a new moment in Dakota sports. It was the first year team last year now it may be co-Ed. People want to see the girls potential with the guys. I caught up to Jamie Wilson one of the key supporters of the co Ed team and asked her a few questions. I wanted to just start it off and ask her what she thinks of this potentially happening, she had a few answers, Jamie said “I am very excited of the idea of it starting up”. So it seems many girls are very excited that they might have a chance to play with the guys. Now to the next question I gave her a tricky and controversial question. I was wondering if the girls would play better then the guys if they played together or would they just be good playing as a girl team. She answered this question with complete thought and very well. “I believe the two sports are very different. I think the girls can play well with the guys and I think they can learn girls lacrosse to. It’s all about the effort you put in”. I’m also very excited for the season to start it will be weird at first playing with girls on the team but I think the guys and I can get used to it very quickly. This will be the second year of the sport at Dakota High school and it will be taking a major leap and doing something that the school has never done
