The U.S has fought hard in to earn their spot in the knockout round after beating Iran 1-0 on Tuesday. Following their two draws, one against England, and one against Wales, the U.S had a lot of pressure going into the game against Iran. The goal scored by Christian Puliscs in the first half was all the U.S needed to secure they’re spot in the knockout round. Although the game wasn’t perfect for the U.S, especially in the later stages of the game, the team managed to pull of the win and progress through the group stages. The U.S will play the Netherlands on Saturday, November 2nd in the first round of 16.
