DETROIT- A “FLOOD WATCH” remains in effect for Lenawee, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties from now until 8:00 a.m. ET., tomorrow on your Tuesday due to heavy downpours that could lead to localized flooding.

Welcome to Monday night, Metro Detroit!

Sunset tonight was at 9:07 p.m. ET.

Here is a timeline for both you and your family:

  • From now until 12 Midnight ET.: Showers will be south of 8 Mile Road.
  • 12 Midnight to 10 a.m. ET.: Widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Overnight tonight, we will have both soaking rain and thunderstorms, especially after midnight, along with both overnight low temperatures flirting with the middle 60s and light winds blowing from out of the south-southwest at only 5 to 1o mph.

Tomorrow morning’s sunrise is at 5:57 a.m. ET.

THE REST OF THIS WEEK:

Your Tuesday morning will feature scattered thunderstorms transitioning to just scattered showers in the morning hours that will slow down the morning drive to both work and to school, so drive slowly out there on the wet roads! And we will also have both morning low temperatures flirting with the middle 6os and light winds blowing from the south-southwest at only 5 to 10 mph. But the afternoon should be dry under a transition from mostly to partly cloudy skies along with both daytime high temperatures flirting with the middle 70s and light winds blowing from the northwest at 5 to 12 mph.

Partly cloudy skies and mild too Tuesday night along with an overnight low temperature of double nickels (or 55 degrees).

Some scattered showers around Metro Detroit on your “Hump Day”, or Wednesday, mainly in both the afternoon and the evening hours along with daytime high temperatures flirting with the middle 70s once again.

Mostly cloudy skies and mild too once again Wednesday night along with an overnight low temperature of double nickels (or 55 degrees).

Partly cloudy skies on your Thursday along with daytime high temperatures in the middle 70s.

Mostly cloudy skies and mild too once again Thursday night along with overnight low temperatures flirting with the middle 50s.

Scattered showers are possible, mainly in our South Zone on your “Finally Friday” as we wrap up both the work and the school week along with daytime high temperatures in the middle 70s once again.

Partly cloudy skies and mild too once again Friday night along with overnight low temperatures in the upper 50s. So, wonderful weather to head out to dine outdoors for dinner for date night for both you and your sweetie indeed!

YOUR UPCOMING WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST:

Mostly sunny skies and a little bit cooler than Friday on your Saturday along with daytime high temperatures only in the low 70s. And this is definitely good news in terms of the weather, of course, because all of the seniors at my high school (aka: Dakota High School on 21051 21 Mile Road in Macomb Township, Michigan) are graduating this Saturday at both 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. (which is why everyone at school this week is relying on me to give a good weather forecast that has this Saturday bone dry and not wet, because who would want to have graduation out in the rain, lol). So, stay tuned Dakota all week long as the weather could very well change, but let’s hope for the best and not the worst (meaning fingers crossed the graduation won’t get rained on)!!!

Mostly clear skies and mild too once again Saturday night along with overnight low temperatures only in the low 50s.

Partly cloudy skies and a bit warmer than Saturday on your Sunday along with daytime high temperatures rising into the middle 70s.

Mostly clear skies and mild too once again Sunday night along with an overnight low temperature of double nickels (or 55 degrees).
