We took a trip to C lunch on Thursday to find a student athlete to answer some of our questions. Thankfully, we found the comical Abby Mercer and she took a break from her English homework to assist us.

A: Abby Mercer

Q: What sport do you play? Did you play for Dakota?
A: I play softball. I was also on the freshman team last year.

Q: How long have you been playing?
A: Since kindergarten so about 11 years.

Q: Do you think softball could get you a scholarship?
A: Yes, but to macomb lol. But not for a big league school

Q: How does it feel being a part of a team?

A: It’s fun and the team is really close.

Q: How long is your season?
A: I play for a travel team so it literally never stops.

Q: How do you win a game of softball?
A: You have more runs than the other team by the end of the time limit. Hits get runs.
