District Champs!

Dakota Varsity Baseball and Softball win the District Championship

This past Saturday, the Dakota Cougars Varsity softball team and baseball team both won the division 1 District Championship. With great games played by both our softball and baseball teams, they will continue on into Regionals which start Wednesday for baseball, and this Saturday for softball. Each team has been having an amazing season winning lots of games. Especially our softball team in which they won in the championship against our rivals Chippewa Valley High School. All players contributed for each team whether it was playing on the field, pinch running or batting, and even just being loud on the bench having their teammates backs and being hype for them when they make a play. Pitching has been on point for softball, with Sophomore pitcher Megan Nuechterlein throwing over 200 pitches between both LCN and CVHS, striking out 21 batters to help lead the Cougars to victory. A serious asset to the team’s success. Go cheer on your Dakota Cougars for their upcoming games! They have worked so hard to preform great as well as put in good words for our school and how we play and control our sports. The school year as well as spring sport seasons are coming to an end, make sure you go support before it over!
