A Day Without Women
In Mexico City, there is urged to be a country with no women for just one day.
The idea behind this is that instead of protesting and flooding the streets, women should just disappear. This would show the world what life would be like with no women and how bad it would be. No women on the street, in transit, or in offices or schools.
They are taking a stand against recent murders and gender-based attacks in Mexico. With the escalating violence against girls and women there, the people are taking a stance and skipping the smiling protests and going right to showing what a world would be like without women.
The day of strike is Monday, March 9th. See what other people are saying about it by searching their hashtag, #UNDÍASINNOSOTRAS (A Day Without Us).
