RIP George H.W. Bush

On November 30th of 2018, the 41st President of the United States passed away.

George Herbert Walker Bush passed away at his home in Houston at the age of 94 years old. George H.W. Bush served as the President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. The President served in the United States Navy during World War II, he was the youngest Navy pilot at the time. Along with being the 41st President, Bush also served as Vice President from 1981 to 1989.  During his presidency, Bush oversaw the fall of the Berlin wall and the end of the Cold War. Bush also led the US and its allies in the Gulf War to successfully defeat Iraq.  

The 41st President’s wife, Barbara Bush, passed away this past April. They were married for 73 years and had six children.

George H.W. Bush is survived by his children and grandchildren.

The following will be the honorable President’s funeral arrangements:

  • Monday, December 3rd, the President’s body will be transported from Houston to the Capitol via Air Force One.
  • Tuesday, December 4th, the public will be allowed to pay their respect to the President in the US Capitol Rotunda from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. the following day.
  • Wednesday, December 5th, George H.W. Bush’s funeral will take place at Washington National Cathedral.
  • Thursday, December 6th, the President will be buried at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in Texas next to his wife and daughter.
