UCLA basketball phenomenon Shareef O’Neal, Shaquille O’Neal’s son, announced that he is forced to red shirt his freshman year because of a heart condition that he will need surgery on. hes hopes to recover fast and come back ASAP.  “Shareef was blessed that the UCLA medical staff caught it early,”Shaq told TMZ.  Shareef , 18 , was one of the top 100 players in his class and sport critics were already making NBA draft pick predictions. He first committed to the University of Arizona then committed after a whole FBI investigation. Shareef never told what was wrong , he just told reporters that it was serious and needed to be operated on soon. “blessed here to be living today, one of those moments on the court could have been my last,” he said on twitter. he hoped to be playing the year of 2019 after red shirting his freshman year.
