U.N. Leaders Laughed at Trump

Last Tuesday, President Trump made leaders of the world laugh at the U.N. General Assembly. After being late to the annual summit and missing his initial time spot, Ecuador’s President took his place. In his half-hour speech, he commented on the success of our country since his inauguration in 2016. He proudly stated, ” I addressed the threats facing our world and I presented a vision to achieve a brighter future for all of humanity. Today I stand before the United Nations General Assembly to share the extraordinary progress we’ve made.

“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country. ” As he finished that sentence, UN leaders can be heard in the background laughing at him. “America’s so true,” he continued.

Later on, Trump justified the response by saying he intended to make his audience laugh. Although immediately following the laughter, Trump said, “Didn’t expect that reaction, but okay.”
