Arthur Ream was an average man until he was found guilty of crimes pertaining to young girls. His list of crimes seems to never end, but what is a common thread is how many young girls he abducted, sexually assaulted, and/or killed. In 1979, a girl named Kimberly King disappeared at just twelve years old while staying at her grandparents house. At first he wouldn’t say where the girl was buried but a few years ago he lead police to the cite on 23 mile near North Avenue, where in 1986 he abducted and killed a 13 year old girl named Cindy Zarzycki. He claimed both girls could be found in the same area. Once convicted for Cindy’s murder, Ream was sentenced to life in prison after four more victims were discovered. Recently in prison, Ream was boasting about all the crimes he had committed and that there were more bodies buried at the location he had previously released. Police decided to go out to the cite and begin searching for remains for up to 6 other missing individuals that might be buried in the same location. The rain has delayed the investigation a bit but there has been no talk of ending the search. So far no remains have been found, but authorities haven’t given up hope that they are in the right spot and will be able to deliver the closer and answers the families of the missing girls desperately need.
