Circus High-Flyer Tragic Accident
Yann Arnaud, 38, a longtime circus performer for Cirque Du Soleil, fell to his death on March 17th 2018, while performing one of his new tricks for the first time. The act was called a “straps duo act,” and the show took place in Tampa, Florida. The company that he worked for stated that he lost grip of his ropes and fell 15 feet above the stage floor, with no safety nets. The show was immediately put on pause as the medical team rushed to Yann Arnaud. He was transported to one of the nearest hospitals but unfortunately later passed away from his injuries. Arnaud was trained to be a high-flyer in the circus for over 15 years. The Tampa police will still be investigating the incident as an accident. Arnaud will never be forgotten for his exquisite high-flying skills.
