It is an exciting time to be a senior at Dakota High School! In order to stay informed on all of the events for the Class of 2023, check out the list below of upcoming festivities. 

March:

Monday March 20th to Friday May 24th is Spirit Week   

Thursday March 23th is the last day to buy tickets online through PaySchools Events for the Spring Fling School Dance 

Friday March 24th Spring Fling School Dance at Dakota  

Monday March 27th is Pajama Day  

Friday March 31st is the last day for Lawn Sign purchases for $35 

April: 

Wednesday April 12th is a late start day because of the SATs and the Cougar Choice Awards Assembly in the auditorium  

Saturday April 15th is the last day to buy entry tickets for a drawing to win a VIP Graduation Experience 

Wednesday April 19th will be the Cap and Gown Pick Up in the community room during all lunches

Monday April 24th is the last day to buy a Senior All Night Party T-Shirt for $20 

Wednesday April 26th to Friday May 28th Prom Tickets will be on sale online

Sunday April 30th will be the last day that Senior Graduation Posters can be ordered from the Cougar Den 

Sunday April 30th is also the last day for reduced ticket price of $115 for the Senior All Night Party 

May: 

Monday May 1st College Decision Day – Seniors will wear shirts, sweatshirts, or other gear that has their future school logo on it to announce where they are going next year. Over the announcements fight songs from various Michigan colleges will be played in between classes during passing time 

Monday May 1st to Friday May 5th is the first week of AP Class Exams  

Monday May 8th to Friday May 12th is the second week of AP Class Exams

Wednesday May 10th will be the Awards Night 

Monday May 15th the Graduation time slot sign up opens   

Monday May 15th is Prom which will be held at The Palazzo Grande  

Tuesday May 16th is a Personal Development Day for teachers so students will have no school 

Thursday May 18th will be when Seniors are able to put their handprints on the wall during English classes  

Monday May 22nd to Thursday May 25th is the last week of school for Seniors and there will be Spirit Week themes for each day 

Tuesday May 23rd Seniors will go to school for all hours with Exams hours 5-6  

Wednesday May 24th Seniors will go to school for hours 1-4 with Exams hours 3-4 and the Senior Sunset celebration in the stadium that evening 

Thursday May 25th Seniors will go to school for only Exams hours 1-2 (last day of school) and the annual Senior Barbeque will be after second hour in the stadium  

June:

Wednesday June 7th from 8:00am to 1:00pm will be when Graduation Tickets are available for pick up in the Main Building Aux Gym  

Sunday June 11th at 10am or 2pm will be the Graduation Ceremonies  

Sunday June 11th will be the Senior All Night Party at Dave and Busters from 10pm-5am. Tickets can be bought at the door for $125 cash
