New Thriller books in the Media Center
The Dakota Media Center just stocked up on the latest thriller novels just before Halloween. Newer authors and different stories are filling the shelves with their sick and twisted psychological stories.
The Weight of Blood

The weight of blood is a novel tackling the talk of racism in high school. Madison Washington is the target for everyone to bully at Springville high, but one thing she keeps a secret Maddy is biracial. The students put together an integrated prom as a show of unity for the school’s racist past. When the popular class president who is white convinces her superstar black boyfriend to be Maddy’s date it leaves Maddy to wonder if she will ever have a normal life. Putting her in the spotlight and poking fun at her all the time causes her to get fed up, but she still has one more secret, one that may cost them their lives.
Howl

Virgil Knox was attacked by a monster, and nobody believed him. Well, he was drinking they suspected, he was in places he shouldn’t have been they said, it was probably just a bear or something they thought. Why won’t anyone believe him? The new kid in town can’t draw anyone’s attention on the horrifying thing he saw. The monster is still out there waiting to hunt Virgil down or worse Virgil will join the monster and then they will know.
