Love is in the air and so are the new romance novels in the Dakota Media Center! Recently our media center stocked up on popular series and are seeing kids coming down and checking them out.
To all the boys I’ve ever loved before (Series)

The Netflix movie “To all the boys I’ve loved before” took off late August in 2018. It sparked people’s minds with the story’s idea of having a fake relationship with a boy. Not just any boy, Peter Kavinsky was one of the lost letters that reappeared in his hands and Laura Jean panicked, looking for all the answers she could give him to pry his mind off the letter. Laura and Peter have an idea in mind, but how long would it last? Long lists of do nots for their over-the-top fake relationship, but aren’t rules always meant to be broken?
This series is compiled of three different novels: To all the boys I’ve loved before, P.S. I still love you, Always and forever Laura Jean. Each book with the same idea of falling in love, and Jenny Han crafts her books with such love and talent, capturing you into the storyline making you want to read all three books in one sitting. The books show bittersweet emotions from not only Laura Jean but also Peter.

Rishi Shah is a focused and very strong-minded female who plans to go to Stanford, but when Dimple finds out her mother wants to arrange her marriage, she isn’t as excited to get to work. While on the other hand Rishi is an 18-year-old that has a creative imagination and plans to draw comics, his parents believe what is best for him is to take a trip and go to MIT. The two finally meet with only one of them knowing the plan of possibly getting married soon. Love is not always at first sight…
There’s Something about Sweetie

Sweetie Nair is an Indian American who is noticed as a big girl with a big personality. She loves to play sports and can sing like a pro, but her mom is so hung up on Sweeties weight she cannot accept it when Sunita Patel comes along and offers her youngest son Ashish (Who is the brother of Rishi, from When Dimple Met Rishi) to go on a date with Sweetie. Vidya Nair turns down the offer because she would rather waiyt until sweetie is thinner so she isn’t looked at as an easy target.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

This summer leaves her with a different feeling this time, feelings of interest in both of the boys leaves her stuck to decide who she will pick.
Fans went crazy over these novels that came from popular series and craved more. Dakota’s Media Center is stocking their shelves with more of these never-ending love stories.
