Update from Zachary Veal: "Cool & Damp as We Monitor Both Rain & Snow!"

THIS MORNING: Mostly cloudy skies around Metro Detroit on this Monday morning along with both temperatures only in the low 40s and breezy conditions too W at 7-17 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too making it feel like it’s only in the low-to-middle 30s as you head both out and about. So, a jacket, hoodie, or a sweatshirt most likely may be needed to stay both nice and warm as both your children stand outside at their bus stops while they wait for their buses to arrive or while you either walk or bike to work.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some light scattered showers too, in spots, around Metro Detroit along with both daytime high temperatures only in the low-to-middle 40s and breezy conditions too WSW at 10-20 mph, gusting 20-30 mph, at times too! So, keep your umbrellas at the ready as you may need them from time-to-time throughout the day today.

TOMORROW: A mostly cloudy and cool start to your Tuesday around Metro Detroit as we both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, to morning low temperatures starting out in the low 40s, but likely in the middle-to-upper 30s outside of the city of Detroit in our typically cooler rural areas as WDIV’s meteorologist Paul Gross likes to say! But the afternoon hours will still be on the cool side of things under mostly cloudy skies once again with perhaps some more light scattered showers, in spots, along with both daytime high temperatures only in the middle-to-upper 40s and cool breezes WNW at 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too!

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies once again with perhaps some more scattered showers, in spots, around Metro Detroit on your “Hump Day” along with both daytime high temperatures rising into the upper 40s and cool breezes once again WNW at 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too!

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies once again with perhaps some light rain showers, in spots, around Metro Detroit along with both daytime high temperatures rising into the low 50s and warming winds WSW at 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too!

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies and milder than Thursday too around Metro Detroit as we wrap up both this work and this school week along with both daytime high temperatures rising into the low 60s and warming winds WSW at 5-15 mph, gusting 15-20 mph, at times too!

THIS WEEKEND: Mostly sunny skies on your Saturday around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures soaring well into the upper 60s. But on your Sunday as both you and your family commute both to and from both morning church services and brunch, we will have a daytime high temperature of guess what: 70F under partly cloudy skies thanks to warming winds S at 5-15 mph, gusting 15-20 mph, at times too! So yeah, you read that right. From 40s to start this week off to 70F by the end of this coming weekend, so stay tuned as of course, it is still way too early to bank on highs on Sunday hitting 70F or maybe even warmer than that!!

Enjoy the rest of your Monday, Metro Detroit, and have a wonderful week ahead too!!
