The Supreme Court Overturning Roe V. Wade in Preliminary Vote

Roe V. Wade was a landmark decision made by the supreme court back in January 1973, to make abortion legal in the US. Yesterday, leaked supreme court draft has shown that Roe V. Wade would be over turned to a 5-4 vote. In the draft five of the republican-appointed justices voted, according to Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., to overturn the 1973 vote.  The final opinion has not been formally released. The opinion is not expected to be published until late June.

Roe V. Wade has been an extremely controversial topic. Many discussions have been lead by either from a Pro-Life or a Pro-Choice stand point. Those who believe in Pro-life think a fetus has the same rights to life as any other individual, but where life begins has been up for debate. Even those who are Pro-lifers do not necessarily agree on where the line is drawn. For those who believe in Pro-Choice, they state it is their body and their choice what happens to it. That the fetus affects their bodies and their lives. States across the country will continue to ban abortions after a certain number of weeks as the possible Roe V. Wade overturn continues.
