Metro Detroit, Michigan weather: “Rainy, Breezy, & Cool for Tigers’ Opening Day Tomorrow!!” Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s.

DETROIT- Welcome to Thursday Night Metro Detroit!

Tonight’s sunset was at 8:06 p.m. ET.

Oh, my goodness, what a dreary week it has been right here in Metro Detroit with every single day (except Tuesday April 5th) reporting rain along with daytime high temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. But that is not going to change for the Detroit Tigers’ Opening Day game tomorrow afternoon (Friday April 8th) against the Chicago White Sox over at Comerica Park in Downtown Detroit as scattered rain showers are expected with maybe even a rumble or two of thunder late in the ballgame! But a much drier weekend is on tap for us after all the rain we got this week, so that is something to look forward to!! But first, as always, let us focus on the here and now, shall we?

Alright! So overnight tonight, we will have mostly cloudy skies late around Metro Detroit along with both overnight low temperatures only in the upper 30s and light winds south-southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow morning’s sunrise is at 7:04 a.m. ET.

YOUR “FINALLY FRIDAY” WEATHER FORECAST:

Your “Finally Friday” morning will feature both a mostly cloudy and chilly start around Metro Detroit along with temperatures starting in the upper 30s and light winds southwest at 4 to 9 mph as we get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids. But a weather maker will bring some sprinkles starting after 8am, so we may be able to salvage the morning commute tomorrow. But for tailgaters heading to Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers’ Home Opener against the Chicago White Sox may need to bring both their umbrellas and their rain ponchos to stay nice and dry. And the rain continues through the entire game and the majority of both the late, late morning and through the afternoon hours as scattered showers take over Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures only in the upper 40s and breezy conditions southwest at 7 to 17 mph, gusting 20 to 25 mph at times too!

Mostly cloudy skies and cold too Friday night along with overnight low temperatures only in the low 30s. So, remember to bundle up both yourself and your sweetie as you both head out for whatever date night plans that you may have planned.

YOUR UPCOMING WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST:

Mostly cloudy skies on Saturday along with daytime high temperatures only in the middle 40s.

Mostly clear skies and cold too Saturday night along with overnight low temperatures flirting with the freezing mark.

Mostly sunny skies on Sunday along with daytime high temperatures rising into the low 50s. So, fantastic weather for driving to both morning church services and to brunch indeed!!

Partly cloudy skies and not as cold as Saturday night Sunday night along with an overnight low temperature of only 40 degrees.

NEXT WEEK PREVIEW:

We are watching a huge warmup coming that will bring daytime high temperatures well into the 60s to maybe 70 degrees by both Wednesday and Thursday! But that also comes with multiple chances for some rain and maybe even some scattered thunderstorms by midweek next week, so stay tuned!
