On February 19^th, 2020 we have yet again lost another great, Bashar Barakah Jackson but known professionally as Pop Smoke. He was an American rapper and song writer. Pop was truly taken from us too soon. His career was taking off and he was becoming well known by many. He was signed to Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records. In April 2019 he released his hit song, “Welcome to the Party.” The single went super well for pop and later lead to his debut mixtape, Meet the Woo (released July 2019). He was featured and had features from artist such as Quavo, Travis Scott, Jackboys, and Gunna.Pop was born on July 20, 1999 in New York,NY. Pop was killed in a home invasion at the home he was renting in the Hollywood Hills. Pop Smoke will truly be missed by many and will forever be in our hearts as a true artist.
