DHS Gaming Club

Since 2011 Dakota High School has had an amazing Gaming Club run by English teacher Mr. Bilof. Mr. Bilof also runs the E- Sports team for Dakota which is more competition based. The gaming club doesn’t have official tournaments with different competitors like the E- Sports team does.

The Gaming Club is an amazing community that anyone can join even if they go to the Ninth Grade Center. It is a place where people with similar interests can meet and form great bonds with each other. There are about 10- 15 people currently in the club and more are welcome to join.

They meet every Tuesday right after school in room 220, ending at about 3:25PM. All games are welcome, but members of the gaming club mostly enjoy Super Smash Bros. They don’t just play video games though. Many enjoy playing Magic the Gathering, an extremely popular card game.

The president of Gaming club Donevin Jozlin has this to say about it,” Gaming Clubs’ been a staple in my average school day since my sophomore year.” In conclusion, the Gaming Club has been an important part of many students’ experiences at Dakota High School.
