Update from Zachary Veal: “A Few More Days of 80s along with an ‘Air Quality Alert’ for tomorrow!”

Update from Zachary Veal: A Few More Days of 80s along with an Air Quality Alert for tomorrow!

An “Air Quality Alert” will go into effect for Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties starting at 12am EST tomorrow and expiring at 12am EST on Saturday due to elevated levels of ozone. So, some tips for both you and your family to remember are: avoid activities which can lead to ozone formation, refueling vehicles or topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment, and using charcoal lighter fluids. Instead, you are recommended to either walk or bike to work, delaying, or combining errands, using water based paints, and carpooling.

THIS EVENING: Mostly sunny skies, very warm, and breezy too around Metro Detroit on this Thursday evening along with both temperatures falling down from the low-to-middle 80s early on into the upper 70s later on and breezy conditions too WSW at 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph, at times too! So, if you can, get out there and enjoy this very warm weather while you can before the sun sets (which by the way, is at 8:12pm) as you take that walk with the dog, go out to the store to run some errands, or maybe go to your kids’ softball game in terms of their after school activities without any fears or worries of wet weather!

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies and very mild too once again (like it was last night) around Metro Detroit along with both overnight low temperatures flirting with the middle 50s and light winds SSW ~ 5 mph.

TOMORROW: A mostly clear and very mild start to your “Finally Friday” around Metro Detroit as we will both get up and get going one last time for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, to morning low temperatures flirting with the middle 50s. But thankfully, the afternoon hours should heat up rather quickly under partly cloudy skies along with both a daytime high temperature of 80F and light winds SSE at only 5-10 mph.

THIS WEEKEND: Partly cloudy skies on your Saturday around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures flirting with 80F. But on your Sunday, as both you and your family commutes both to and from both morning church services and brunch, the chance for both some light showers and storms moves into Metro Detroit under mainly mostly cloudy skies along with daytime high temperatures only in the low 70s.

NEXT WEEK PREVIEW: Monday, by the way, is Tax Day 2023, and it looks like we will have the chance for a wintry mix under mainly mostly cloudy skies as high temperatures will start to trend their way below average only in the middle 40s. But the cool temperatures will not last all week long next week as they rise into the low-to-middle 50s on Tuesday, then into the low 60s on Wednesday, and finally, possibly hitting 70F on Thursday. So, please stay tuned…

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday, Metro Detroit!!
