Sunken Poetry (Part 3)

You remind me of the moon

Sometimes I look at the moon and all I see is you.

A faint white light peaking through my blinds as I rest my eyes,

You show up whether its day or night.

I can hear your words when I look up at you,

Glowing, radiating.

You would always ask me where to look to find such a pretty light,

I would always point my finger towards the mirror of your reflection.

Maybe then you would remember me.

*Light me up

Love can honestly feel like an open flame ready to meet with my bare skin,

Burning my flesh as I shriek out in pain.

I no longer feel the burns.

They burnt holes in my heart.

Your love is no longer a feeling of mine.

Change Won’t break you forever

change is not going to sit right with you,

sometimes it can damage you.

just for a little,

not for too long.

take a car apart,

you begin to take the pieces apart to fix it.

change makes you feel broken and as though you cannot be fixed.

soon you will get back up,

but some days you will run out of time to try and solve the puzzle.

you won’t be broken forever.
