What is Lucky Girl Syndrome?
Have you ever noticed that anybody you know just seems to have everything falling into place for them? Do you ever look at them and think, “I wish my life looked like that.” You do not have to spend your life envying others and continuing to suffer with poor luck. It may be possible to change your mindset, and even your existence. By using a manifestation method coined as “Lucky Girl Syndrome”, you might notice that things come easier for you. Great things are always coming your way, but this method can help you truly believe it!
The Origin of “Lucky Girl Syndrome”: “Lucky Girl Syndrome” has been rapidly taking TikTok by storm. It is not a physical change in lifestyle to make someone luckier, but rather a state of mind that encourages more positive outcomes, and in turn, a happier life. This method has been around for many years, but TikToker Laura Galebe certainly has made it into a trending topic and coined this new phrase. In a TikTok she posted on December 17th, 2022, she claims to be one of the luckiest people she knows. Her video clearly resonated with and inspired many, racking up three million views and approximately four hundred eighty likes. “There is literally no better way to explain it other than, like, it feels like the odds are completely in my favor,” she says while explaining the secret weapon to her charmed life. “I just always expect great things to happen to me, and so they do.” Galebe goes on to say that “I am constantly saying that great things are always happening to me unexpectedly.” Believing what you are saying also plays into the outcome of your luck. She says that she always believes it when she says great things are happening to her. Galebe is aware that some may doubt her methods, but she says that even if something does not go exactly as planned, she knows something better is coming. According to this mindset, positivity is key, being “delusional” and telling yourself that good things are coming before they actually do may really make you luckier.
The Law of Assumption: Although this manifestation method which inspired this trend has just recently become popular, it has been around for a very long time. “Lucky Girl Syndrome” originated from an idea called the Law of Assumption. It works by introducing new beliefs (also known as assumptions) into your subconscious. The law was originally proposed by a man named Neville Lancelot Goddard. Goddard (February 19, 1905 – October 1, 1972) was a well respected Barbadian New Thought author and mystic who spent his life researching as well as writing about the Bible and esotericism, a Western form of spirituality that focuses on the importance of the individual effort to gain spiritual knowledge. Goddard’s belief was that people are able to create their own reality by simply assuming the “feeling of the wish fulfilled”, and thus, the term “Law of Assumption” was brought to life.
Top Ten Ways to Improve Your Luck: Here are some fun and easy things to say to bring about more luck for yourself. Remember, it is absolutely vital to believe what you are saying is true. The energy you are putting out into the universe is the energy you are going to receive. These affirmations may result in some real change in your life.
- Things are always working out for me no matter how it looks at any point in time.
- Everything is working out in my favor.
- I am so grateful for the gifts the universe has given to me.
- I am always at the right place at the right time.
- My job is amazing, my life is amazing, I am amazing, my friends are amazing, etc.
- The most incredible opportunities are always finding me.
- I am meeting all the right people.
- All of my dreams are being fulfilled right now.
- My mind, body, and spirit are peaceful.
- The universe always has my back.
You can either say these phrases out loud or write them down and put them somewhere that you can read them each day, for example, your mirror or your bedroom door. Reading the affirmations more and more can give you a greater feeling of fulfillment and confidence about your future.
Some Extra Affirmation Tips: Just in case you are having a hard time feeling lucky!
- Think more about what you want vs. What you don’t want.
- Your dreams may be foreshadowing your luck! Pay close attention to them.
- Tell yourself that everything is easy for you.
- What you manifest does not always have to be a huge goal. It can be small fun things that you desire.
To summarize, deciding to be a “Lucky Girl (/Boy /Person)” is easier than you think and creating a space for more positivity to enter your life can have lasting effects. Though there will be people who doubt this method but regardless, it never hurts to try a new approach to a more prosperous lifestyle. Remember, always be grateful for what you have, and the sky is the limit when it comes to reaching your dreams. Nothing is unachievable. The universe always gives the right people what they deserve. It is important not to have a negative mindset if you wish for your luck to improve. Negative thoughts in the back of your mind will make your goals feel but also become less attainable. You must push other’s negative thoughts, as well as your own, away to embrace new and positive changes in your life. Happier people tend to be more successful, and pessimists usually tend to notice only bad things happening to them because they are not grateful for what they already have. Being negative has also been shown to cause people to experience more stress and anger, which is bad for your mental health, but also your physical health. Negativity also decreases motivation and work ethic. Take control of your emotions and become the best version of yourself. Good luck affirming your luck!
