Internal Peace

Internal Peace

A home welcomes in peace.

It’s home, which those I love stay.

Peace.

The relaxation of my muscles,

Felt throughout my whole body.

Peace falls upon me

Throughout my day

Little by little

Calmness.

When I

dance in a dark, empty room

my body moves on its own

left.

Right.

Up.

Down.

Contracting

then letting go

The way I move around

It’s muscle memory

Serenity.

Walking through and experiencing nature

Snow slowly falling,

Leaves crunching under my feet,

The sun’s heat beating down on my face

Content.

When I’m in the arms of the one I love most.

Looking into their eyes

Sharing long conversations

Hearing other’s thoughts and opinions.

Peace.

And

Calmness.

When the scent of my favorite candle catching fire

or my coffee brewing

unravels

peace

and serenity

It is the felling of normality

And safety

Which brings one peace

Knowing what is coming next

No questioning

Yourself,

Or the motion going on around you

Peace.

Calmness.

Serenity.

Content.

One long inhale and exhale.

The sound of silence.

It’s the connection between the cognitive mind and the soul.

Peace is felt throughout the entirety of my limbs.

When time becomes quiescent.

A home for me to be at peace.
