My Opinion on Tim Biebs
On November 29th, 2021, the Tim Hortons x Justin Bieber collaboration officially began. As an employee of Tim Hortons, when I discovered this monstrosity, I decided it was time to put in my two-week notice.
The “Tim Biebs” collection includes 3 new timbit flavors, along with three pieces of merchandise with “Tim Biebs” plastered on the front. The new flavors are Chocolate White Fudge, Birthday Cake Waffle, and Sour Cream Chocolate Chip. I’ve tried them, and honestly, they are nothing special. It feels like too much. I’d rather have the normal chocolate glazed or birthday cake timbits (sour cream timbits aren’t that great). The Bieber Timbits look unappetizing, and just seem like a pyramid scheme for money.
The overpriced merch includes a fanny pack, a beanie, and a tote bag, all of which cost $30.00. Tell me who in their right mind would purchase a $30 tote bag from Tim Hortons. All of the merch says “Tim Biebs” on it. The tote also includes the giant, red “Tim Hortons” logo. This makes the design overcrowded and way too bold. I just disagree with all of it.
I took it upon myself to get the opinions of my fellow co-workers. Here’s what they said.
“Tim Biebs? More like Tim Bads.” – Josh
“It’s lame.” – Garius
Needless to say, this was a stupid marketing choice. Don’t fall into the captivity of the money hungry CEOs and executives. I beg you. Please.

When I think coffee and donuts, I don’t really think of Bieber. Also, I try to not think of Bieber ever.
