Chick-fil-A’s Hall Road Grand Opening
The restaurant opened at 6:30 a.m. on January 28th, 2021, and by 11 a.m. several lines were wrapped around the building on Hall Road in Macomb Township. In the early days of their opening, there were three lanes to go through, two of them being the drive thru lanes, the last lane was dedicated to mobile order pick-ups. Eventually cars piled up, one after the other, needing the police to monitor and guide the guests through the lanes.
The big question that many are asking is why? Why would anyone willingly wait in the many Chick-fil-A lines, some taking hours to get through? Although many love the food, thats not the only reason people are going wild for the Grand Opening.
“The chicken is the best, but it’s a lot more than that,” said Keylon, a Chick-fil-A employee. “People like the service, the kindness of the staff and the overall experience. That’s was makes it unique.”
“It’s worth it,” said Vince Audet, a Macomb resident. “It’s (Chick-fil-A) always my first stop after getting off the plane in Orlando. I’m glad we finally have one here.
“To others, it really isn’t about the deeper connection beyond the logo, “I love their food, and they have gluten free options,” said Marcie Vandenbrouck, a happy Chick-fil-A customer.
