Adapting to Online School
Adapting to online school was very hard at first. With all of us students and staff trying to get the hang of it and trying to work together, it was a lot harder than we all thought. At first, sitting on a computer for 7 hours a day, was the hardest thing to do. Then our teachers realized how hard it was on them, and on us. They adapted to it all and started giving us some time to work on our own and be able to get off the computer to do work. Working together as a class was one of the most difficult things that we could accomplish. None of us would turn our cameras on and were too afraid to un mute our mic and talk. As the teachers slowly eased us into it, we were able to be more open to the class and weren’t as afraid as in the beginning. As we got further into the year, it became a lot easier and was so much better to adapt to everything. None one of this would have been possible if we didn’t have the type of staff that we do at Dakota High School. We all appreciate them so much, and are so thankful that they are so supportive and very helpful through all of these times.
