Netflix On Break?

Netflix plays a big part in the entertainment industry for people all around the world. You can guarantee many hours of the lives of today’s teens are spent on binging their favorite Netflix shows and movies. But due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, the filming of new seasons for all these shows have been put on hold.

So when will they begin filming again, and when will the shows finally come out?

According to an article on the release dates of the new seasons of popular Netflix shows, “…after several months, many productions are slowly coming back to life and setting dates for when they will get the cameras rolling again” (written by Tigran Asatryan on whats-on-netflix.com).

Don’t worry, those episodes will be filmed and out in no time.

If you are currently anticipating a new season of a Netflix show, here are a couple of those shows and information on their releases.

Stranger Things (season 4)- filming supposedly resumed on September 17th, and the predicted release date is set for quarters 3 or 4 of the 2021 year.

The Witcher (season 2)- began filming again around late August; predicted release date to be quarter 3 or 4 of 2021.

The Crown (season 5)- filming should begin around June of 2021; no set release date yet.

The Umbrella Academy (season 4)- the pre-production of season three is set to begin sometime this month of October; release date predicted for quarter 1 of 2022.

The wait for some of these shows seems dreadful, especially for those who are “netflix-addicted”. But the wait should be more than worth it.
