On March 18, 2020, Hulu’s new show, Little Fires Everywhere, will be released to the public. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington will be part of the show as main characters, Elena Richardson and Mia Warren, which is exciting to hear. This is Celeste Ng’s first book that is being filmed into a show.
This is an amazing story as it speaks about motherhood and the privilege that some of the characters have. This book starts off with a young girl and her mother who move into the suburbs of Shaker Heights, Ohio which is its only perfectly organized town, which is very different from what they’re used to. As Mia and Pearl begin befriending people in the neighborhood, a situation regarding one of Mia’s coworkers comes into play as the town divides over their own opinions regarding the situation. I truly recommend reading this book to gain some background knowledge on the story.
