Spanish Ofrendas
Spanish class Ofrendas
An ofrenda is a collection of objects placed on a ritual display during the annual and traditionally Mexican Día de Muertos celebration. An ofrenda , which may be quite large and elaborate, is usually created for an individual person who has died and is intended to welcome him/her to the altar setting. Our Spanish classes celebrated this day with food and fun. We celebrate Día de Muertos to honor those who have moved on and allow them to come back to visit us for the day. This tradition goes back very far in Mexican history. We learn about them in Spanish class to really show us the history and traditions they have.
