Walter Elias Disney (Dec. 5, 1901 – Dec. 15, 1966) was an entrepreneur, an animator, voice actor, and a film producer. Walter had an early interest in drawing, and began working with a commercial illustrator at the age of 18. Everyone has heard of Mickey Mouse, this was Walter’s first major success, and later opened Disneyland in 1955. Walter was a shy, and insecure man but along the way he was capable of growing his dreams into realities. He was awarded 59 Academy Award nominations and 22 Awards, both are world records.
