Fallout 76 Beta – A Brief Adventure Outside Vault 76
On Tuesday, October 23rd, Bethesda Studios held a B.E.T.A. (Break-it Early Test Application) for Fallout 76. The Beta was up for a four hour period, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM ET. I myself was able to play the Beta for the short amount of time it was up for. This is my personal take on my gameplay of the Fallout 76 Beta.
I will admit that exiting Vault 76 to have my frame rate drop to 10 fps, was a bit annoying, but it was to be expected as the full game was all compacted into these small servers not to mention the numerous amount, of players within the servers. Seeing that this is a Bethesda game, bugs aren’t a new thing. I noticed minor things which could be fixed like missing player models and textures.
Visually the game is stunning as you look over the vast region of Appalachia located in West Virginia when you first exit Vault 76. I was not able to explore the eternity of the map, only the starting area. I have high hopes for the full release of this game but, I see Rockstar’s release of Red Dead Redemption 2, which released today October 26th, 2018, as being a big competitor to Fallout 76 over the course of the next two months and possibly beyond that time period.
Another Beta is scheduled for a two hour period on Saturday, October 27th – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM ET and a two hour period on Sunday, October 28th – 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET.
