Stress Reliever: Holiday Crash Course with CTC
As the holidays approach, life seems to become crazier and crazier. Stress from trying to battle all the sneezes around you and the horror of inevitable exams seem to crowd the hallways. Even the idea of spending Christmas with family can be very stressful. On December 13th, the Coalition Teen Council is hosting a stress reliever session after school. The event will be hosted in the community room and is free for all students to attend at 2:30 pm. The idea behind the event is to create an environment for students to breathe and learn a few new coping skills before life sneaks up on them too fast. Mrs. Lange has outlined an hour session of guided stretching, breathing, and an area to be able to be with others who are going through the same thing. This event reminds us that we are not alone this holiday season and it is a time to come together. There are also rumors of an awesome surprise that you just have to be there to experience. If all goes well next Wednesday, the coalition and Mrs. Lange have hopes to do another session closer to exams and possibly more in the future. We are all stressing over one thing or another this holiday season, come join us to help relieve some of the worries after school on December 13th at 2:30 pm in the community room.
UPDATE: The event has been rescheduled for a later day because of the early release Wednesday and the snow storms.
