Crazy Conspiracy Theories I Wish Were True

Crazy Conspiracy Theories I Wish Were True

From staged moon landings to a flat earth, there are a lot of pretty wild conspiracy theories out there, most of them outlandish and laughable. Here is a list of some conspiracy theories that I wish were true either because they’re awesome or would be hilarious.

  1. Birds Aren’t Real

This conspiracy is one that has grown popular since the pandemic after the movements social media page blew up for its satirical content and downright ridiculous assumptions. The conspiracy that “Bird Truthers” have theorized is that the government replaced all the birds in America with high tech spy drones disguised as actual birds. Birds truthers believe the government is trying to collect private data about our lives with these “bird drones” in order to supervise our every move. Pet birds one may keep inside their house are able to surveil everything you do inside the home too, not just outside. If birds were actually government spy drones, I would be interested to see how many resources the government uses to conduct this elaborate surveillance. Who knows? Maybe the robot birds will double-cross the people who control them- then we’d really be in trouble!

  1. Some Celebrities and Politicians are Secretly Lizard People

Justin Bieber, Ted Cruz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Zuckerberg… who could have guessed that these influential figures are secretly reptiles? The Average American apparently. The term “Reptoid” applies to someone that occupies a position of power or influence that is secretly a reptilian person. Believers of this conspiracy think that there is a secret society of lizard people who want to influence humans into giving them power. These Reptoids can supposedly alter their appearance to look like regular people; but in reality, have scales, unnatural slit eyes, claws, and eat bugs. I honestly don’t mind the idea of there being a secret group of elite reptiles taking positions of power and influence in our world; I’d support Dwayne the “Croc” Johnson, and what if we’ve been reading the works of William Snakespeare all these years? What I won’t get behind, however, is if they start forcing us to eat bugs- no thank you Zuckerberg.

  1. The Multiverse Theory

The Conspiracy behind the “Multiverse” is surrounded by the idea that there is a group of multiple universes and alternate realities of our lives. This concept has been explored in various popular media sources including the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Rick and Morty, and Stranger Things. Though many use the Multiverse theory for entertainment purposes and Sci-fi action, some believe there actually are parallel universes to ours, or alternate realities of our collective universe. I think it would be awesome if other universes existed with alternate versions of ourselves, I would be interested to know what different scenarios happened in contrast to the world we live in now or what my life would be like in an alternate universe… Maybe another version of myself became a space pirate! Arg!

  1. The Loch Ness Monster emigrated to Flathead Lake, Montana

We’ve all heard the stories of the mysterious aquatic monster that resides in the depths of Loch Ness in Scotland, but have you heard of the monster’s sibling in Montana? Well, residents near Flathead Lake claim that an identical Loch Ness monster is their neighbor. As of July of 2018, there have been 109 sightings of the frightening creature who is described as having “steel black eyes” and large protruding fins. Whether these sightings have any merit or not, we can only wonder how a large creature like that ended up in Montana of all places…

“Maybe secret underground water tunnels that connect to all different parts of the globe???”- McLeod (He knows a thing or two about Scotland)

  1. The US government keeps Aliens at Area 51 in Nevada

Remember in 2019 when everyone was joking about “Storming Area 51” through a variety of memes and videos that talked about aliens? Well, most people know the national theory about the isolated Nevada Military base “Area 51” housing aliens to experiment on them and monitor their behavior. With how large the universe is, it’s unlikely that we are an anomaly, and extraterrestrial life probably exists somewhere, but many believe they have already made contact with our planet. With UFO sightings and theories about them building the pyramids, Aliens have been on the forefront of our minds for generations, and starting in the 1950s, people began theorizing that Area 51 has been hiding secrets about them. People found it suspicious the lengths the Military was going through to keep the secret base private, and with sightings of UFOs in the Nevada desert area and the numerous “test flights” taken place by the base around this time, this led many to connect the base to the existence of Aliens on Earth. The government only officially recognized Area 51 to even exist in 2013, which is suspicious if you ask me, but lots of the theories surrounding the military base have little proof and many consist of just heavy speculation. If you do happen to come across an extraterrestrial though, and want to keep it as a house guest, I wouldn’t mention it to Uncle Sam.

  1. People Have Already Figured Out Time Travel

This conspiracy theory is one that I’ve seen all over the internet, you know, with those clickbait thumbnails that make a big red circle around an obscure image and a giant arrow pointing towards it with the words “TIME TRAVEL REAL?!?” In all seriousness though, there are plenty of folks who believe time travel has already been done. People claim that in early pictures from the 1800s they are able to see people wearing modern clothing or holding devices that haven’t been invented yet like cell phones. Most of these images can be written off as coincidence or just debunked as looking like something it isn’t, but some pictures people share online do look out of place, like one in particular where a man is wearing a shirt with a logo on it and modern looking sunglasses. The concept of time travel is complicated and way too confusing for me to comprehend, even in shows that include it as a part of the plot. If I could time travel, I’d like to go back to see the Aliens build the Pyramids and warn them about Area 51.

There are many more wild and hilarious conspiracies out there that could be covered that are fun to explore and look into. If you are interested in learning about more conspiracy theories, the internet provides more things than you could ever imagine, the world truly is a ridiculous place.
