STF Chipotle Fundraiser
Dakotas’ She’s The First chapter needs YOU- to come to Chipotle on April 19th- for their Chipotle fundraiser that is raising money to educate a girl across the world.
She’s the First is a global organization that aspires to advocate for girls, their mission being to make girls worldwide “educated, respected, and heard”- their primary goal being to help the young women receive an education they would not typically have access to. Many of these girls are in poverty, discriminated by race and/or gender, and/or face other forms of oppression. STF helps by using its chapters to raise money, that is then donated to these girls’ educations to help them receive the opportunities they deserve.
Dakota’s STF Chapter has a goal of $1,000 this year, and at the end, it will be donated to a girl in a country of the clubs’ choice. They are currently about half way to this goal, and the Chipotle Fundraiser will have a huge impact if enough people participate.
The fundraiser takes place on April 19, 2023, and is from 4-8 p.m.. 33% of all the event sales will be directly donated to DHS She’s the First, only valid at the 13975 Lakeside Cir, Sterling Heights, MI, 48313 location.
To receive the money, there is a minimum of $150 in sales, so She’s the First needs as many people as possible to go to Chipotle and support the fundraiser. It’s simple: order online using code CCRPPJA, or shows the flyer attached to this article in the restaurant! So go to Chipotle this Wednesday to get some good food for a good cause!
If you’re ever interested in joining She’s the First, meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month, in room 136. Be sure to go support this Wednesday! It is very appreciated by She’s the First!
Your donation will support the student journalists of Dakota High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
Mackenzie Patenaude is a senior at Dakota Highschool. This is her first year writing for the paper, and she is very excited! She hopes to bring more coverage...
