The Super Mario Bros. Movie
This past week, The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released into theatres. Where with the help of Princess Peach, Mario gets ready to square off against Bowser to stop his plans from conquering the world. This film is starring Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
Although the movie got a 58% rotten tomatoes, the audience did not agree and thought it was great, giving it a 96% audience score according to Rottentomatoes.com. At first when the trailer of this movie came out, fans were skeptical of the voice actors for these characters. But when they finally saw the movie, it could not have been anymore perfect. There was many nostalgic easter eggs in the movie that made it so fun to watch especially if you played the games when you were younger. Visually speaking, the animation is stunning. The attention to detail really brought the movie to life. The soundtrack of this movie was very fun and a great add to the movie, From classics from the 80s to hilarious music from Jack Black as Bowser, many watchers loved it
Overall, after entertaining generations of games for decades, Mario finally made it to the big screen adventure that not only captures the excitement of playing the games, but gives our favorite characters the cinematic experience they deserved. From amazing animation, voice work, and amazing soundtrack, this movie is a must see if you haven’t. Whether you’re a hardcore fan, or just need something to do I recommend you give it a watch!
