Update from Zachary Veal: “Rain on the Way!”
THIS EVENING: Mostly cloudy skies around Metro Detroit on this “Hump Day” evening, or Wednesday evening, along with both temperatures only in the low 40s and light winds WNW at only 5-10 mph. But rain does look to move into Metro Detroit starting after 8pm from the southwest to the northeast.
TONIGHT: Cloudy skies with rainy conditions too around Metro Detroit along with both overnight low temperatures holding steady in the middle-to-upper 30s and winds picking up E at 5-15 mph, gusting 15-20 mph, at times too.
TOMORROW: A cloudy and rainy start to your Thursday around Metro Detroit as we both get up and get going for either work, for the parents, or for school, for the kids, to morning temperatures starting out in the middle-to-upper 30s. So, make sure that you, as bus drivers, parents, and teens, drive both slowly and carefully as the roads will most likely be wet from all of the rain. And it wouldn’t be a bad idea to both watch out for any pooling and ponding out there on the roads and to check in on your basements. But the afternoon hours will be under mainly mostly cloudy skies with some scattered showers, in spots, too around Metro Detroit along with both daytime high temperatures only in the middle 40s and light winds ESE/SW at only 5-10 mph. And finally, southeastern Monroe County will be under a Marginal Risk for the potential for strong-to-severe storms (which is Level 1 out of 5 on the SPC’s scale) for mainly thunder, gusty winds, and small graupel.
FRIDAY: Mainly mostly cloudy skies with possibly some scattered showers, in spots, too around Metro Detroit along with daytime high temperatures falling down into the upper 30s as we wrap up both this work and this school week.
THIS WEEKEND: It will be middle 30s on both your Saturday and Sunday for daytime high temperatures under mostly cloudy skies on your Saturday, but mainly mostly cloudy skies with some scattered snow showers possible, in spots, too around Metro Detroit that could leave a dusting of snow on your Sunday. So, please stay tuned as we do not have Sunday’s snow totals locked in just yet meaning it is still a bit too early to lock in on our snowfall amounts.
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, Metro Detroit!!
